Stylish Girl: Minimalist Gwyneth Paltrow

This outfit is the look I'm gravitating towards this summer. Easy but stylish pieces that come together quickly, but still project a level of sophistication. 

I've accumulated some thrifted pieces in the last couple of months to satisfy my minimalist Celine tastes but without the big budget needs. I don't know if people are still interested in seeing this stuff (I love looking at what other people are buying and wanting but apparently it sends other people into over dramatic convulsions and bizarre conclusions about how and why others spend their money) but if so I'll try to post some pics of my latest finds.

Stylish Girl: Alexa Chung in Paul Smith

I attempted to play around with layers the last couple of years, but I prefer the ease of pieces that stand on their own. If patterned pairings comes together that's great, but it's normally because I happened to hang two pieces next to each other in the closet and realized the colors work. 

I feel more comfortable letting one piece shine, and accenting with classic accessories like the look Alexa Chung is sporting above. I'm really lusting after those shoes.
