To be honest, the aesthetic at most decorator showcases doesn't usually jibe with mine. They tend to decorate every inch of space in a traditional/preppy style. So I was happy to see decorator Amanda Nisbet's fresh take at The Kips Bay Decorator Show House.
Granted the room doesn't leave much room for excess, which I think worked in her favor. Love the Marilyn Minter, modern pink wallpaper (that she designed herself), and fur throws that add dimension and femininity to the room.
From what I can see on NYTimes.com, all of the decorators did an excellent job of incorporating modern design into a traditional home.
