Since I'm on a wishlist kick I'll add these chairs from this year's Met Gala. Covered in iconic Prada prints, I would have tried to sneak one of these home. I'm still in love with The Faerie Queene print by James Jean, so that would be my choice.

It is the first day of summer but I'm thinking about fall thanks to all the new pieces that popped up on Net-A-Porter this morning. Nevermind that we are in the middle of a heatwave, I'm dreaming of asymetrical wool skirts, perfect grey boots, and leather trimmed cashmere.
Hopefully this autumn delirium won't last long, as I have a full summer spread out in front of me that I want to enjoy. Well, If I ever get this work crew out of my house.
I've picked up these neon pink bobby pins from J.Crew several times, but put them back down because I wasn't sure how I would wear them. Then I spotted close up shots of the Cacharel Fall 2012 show and knew they would be perfect stacked in a row.
It was a bonus that they rang up for a sweet $2.99 at the register.

There are a few places in the house that I'm wanting to adorn with wallpaper. As you can see, my heart is set on something whimsical and even a little wild. Like the Grand Game wallpaper, with oversized gold animals on a bold turquoise background. It gets saved from being too twee by the coiled snakes lying in wait.
And how am I just now discovering the Sanderson company? I'm in love with everything, but especially the the 1930's prints pulled from their archives.
Now just the matter of narrowing down my choices.

After going back and forth for months on what we were going to do about the dining room floor, we went nuts on it Saturday night. The good news? Our hardwood floors are still underneath. The bad news? There is 1970's linoleum glued to it.
But I'm still happy, because the laminate flooring in our dining room was driving me nuts. Not only is it a different color than our hardwood but it runs in the opposite direction as well.
Rotting wood found in living room windows was a lovely surprise. And not in original budget. Oy!
Figured out my fingers were the best tool to fix hairline cracks in plaster.
After making it through various things breaking down and breaking into our house, we seem to finally be making progress. Slowly. We were told the work being done on the exterior and interior won't be finished until the end of month, which means the majority of decorating won't start until then.
So what is all getting done for the month of June?
A little overwhelming, but at the same time I feel like I'm waking from a stupor. Things are finally moving forward, which always pushes you to get more things done. Hey, if Tiger can get his mojo back, so can I.
