Old chevron cutting board that needs some love
Ah, I love the bright pink painterly stripe on this vintage cup
FireKing dish and old milkglass jars to be used as flower vases
Vintage structured bag with a mottled finish
Silver bracelet with interlocking rings
1980's silk top with the louche fit of 1930's pajamas
Vintage Victoria's Secret nightgown that is too pretty to wear to bed, feels too nightgown-ish to wear out. What's a girl to do?
Some of these are recent thrift finds, others are things that I squirreled away during the winter. I've already started a box of finds for fall and will post pictures of them in September.
I should have taken a before picture of that silver bracelet so you could see what terrible condition it was in. Have you ever used the aluminum foil/baking soda method for polishing your silver? It is Brady Bunch Volcano fun!
Just line a dish to with aluminum foil, put in jewely, and sprinkle with baking soda. Then pour boiling water over it and watch it bubble up! I usually let mine sit in the mixture for about 20 minutes and then just wipe all the black gunk off.
