Stylecaster did a fantastic job rounding up 50 of the most stylish people in New York city. Photographer Stefani Pappas made everyone look beyond amazing and if I ever need to be professionally photographed I know who will be on my speed dial. 

 

Favorite Runway Looks: Mulberry Fall 2011

I have a thing for shiny pleats, as seen here, so I zeroed in on this dress immediately. I also love playing with opposites: a fancy frock paired with a borrowed from the boys sheepskin jacket.

It looks like the metal clasps down the middle are going to be a fall trend, I saw them on Burberry as well this afternoon.

Vintage inspired cookie sized buttons made modern in gold.

 

I love the blown up reptile print on this bag.

My favorite piece in Mulberry's Fall 2011 Collection? This Polly Push Lock, with a contrasting brown and Midnight black pebbled leather.

Favorite Runway Looks: Rodarte Fall 2011

I've mentioned on this blog before how much I adore apron dresses, so of course I love this look. The creamy dress underneath is perfection.

 

Dots are the new stripes.

Dear Rodarte, please let this sweater be somewhat affordable. 

My favorite thing in the whole collection? Those tall black leather boots slash Mary Janes with the green beading. Kill me.

I Collect: Vintage Striped Blazers

I'm going to use the I Collect series as a way to document what I have in my closet. I have a tendency to keep buying the same thing over and over again, and hopefully this will help curb that habit!

This vintage blazer has the cutest peplum with a double layer, but the shoulders need work. As anyone that deals with clothing knows, once you snip out the gigantic shoulder pads, the upper part collapses and grows two sizes. Luckily, the silky fabric is thin and unlined, so I think it should be an easier fix. 

I found this 1980's Christian Dior blazer at a thrift store in Savannah. It has charcoal stripe in a silk or silk/cotton blend fabric. 

  

This is a super lightweight silk blazer with a black paint stripe, perfect for spring and summer evenings.

This vintage blazer was a recent find and I'm using it as a transition coat until the weather turns warm. It's made out of a mohair fabric in a medium grey and ivory stripe.

I love that the Olsen aesthetic is stamped on each look in the Row's 2011 Fall Collection—Ashley's loafers, fur chubbies, and body conscious leather skirts and Mary Kate with her languid vintage dresses and ethereal lace pieces.

Favorite Runway Looks: Suno Fall 2011

I've been keeping up with the First Looks column on Vogue.com, and after seeing Suno's gorgeous moodboard I knew I was going to love the prints. For their presentation they mixed the patterns with grandpa plaids, which is right my fashion alley.

I'm also crushing on their jewelry collaboration with Lizzie Fortunato. There are lots of 1970's style necklaces and Wonder Woman worthy cuffs.
