I don't have full time internet access and my iphone was dead for the better part of yesterday, so I didn't get to wish all of you Happy Valentine's Day! We had a sweet though exhausting day.
There was a mishap trying to get from airport to where we are staying, so fours hours after landing we finally got to set our overloaded(mine!) bags down. We felt like we were suffering from jet lag, but still managed to squeeze in Lombardi's for pizza, cupcakes at Magnolia Bakery, and trips to Uniqlo and Topshop. I think I was too exhausted for Topshop, as I left empty handed. The immense selection was a bit too much for my addled brain to comprehend.
I always go a bit crazy in my favorite cities, so for this trip I'm trying hard to limit the places where I want to shop so I don't wear poor Mr. M out. The last trip I think I went to what felt like 2o vintage stores, and left with nothing. I think I was hoping for exquisite 1970's and older pieces, but it was just tons of 80's items for $$$.
This is what is left on the list to visit if we have time:
- Opening Ceremony, Lyell and Acne Studio
- Century 21
- ABC Home & Carpet
- Erie Basin
- Albertine, Castor & Pollux, Otte and Rag & Bone
If you guys have any other suggestions (and why you like them if you can)please let me know!
