I received a request for large scans of Jane Mayle's Greenwich Village home, as seen in the September 2007 issue of Domino Magazine. There were only two pages, and I wish they would have done a full house feature. I won't complain too much though, as this was one of my favorite issues ever.
I love everything about the room above. I still love shabby chic pieces, but used in a more rustic or modern setting. Vintage lace curtains and a robin's egg blue dresser accessorize a long antique table surrounded by mismatched chairs.
I always have an instant connection to fellow book lovers. 1970's bookshelves also house flea market finds, including her collection of textiles. I have old fabric remnants folded up that are too delicate or small to use, but just seeing them brings me joy.
Bonus Shots:This home belongs to members of Blonde Redhead, but since the pink vanity was a gift from Jane Mayle I thought I would include them. I didn't think you would mind since Kazu Makino's apartment is absolutely beautiful.
