Here are some of my favorite vintage purchases that I found for the home this past week. I have one other home purchase but I think it deserves its own post, so that will be coming up a little later.
Two oversized goblets the color of butterscotch pudding. Their opaque texture remind me of the turquoise french milkglass that I own but they are not marked on the bottom.
Now those of you who read this blog on a regular basis(thank you so much!) know I have a slight obsession with the color nude. I almost did a cartwheel out of the estate sale when I found these. I dropped in some of the vintage millinery flowers(I used these in my wedding) to see what they would look like used as vases.
I grabbed this bag of birds for $1.50, thinking I hadn't seen the eagles before and they might look good repurposed as elaborate drawer handles on a nightstand. I was happy to open the bag and discover the eagles were actually metal instead of plastic, and made in Japan. One of them has been painted a glossy black but I'm going to change him back. I'm loving all things black lately, especially in a matte finish.
I bought these from the same sale, both in a pistachio green color. The vintage bowl is Jubilee by Home Laughlin and the handheld mixer is General Electric and works great.
