I actually loved the way the J.Crew Kelsey top looked, but I don't understand the way they sewed the ruffles. I wanted them to fluff over top of my jackets and collars so it appears like a ruff. Unfortunately, they have the layers sewn not only to each other, but to the body of the top as well.
I contemplated snipping them loose from the body and resewing the ruffles to each other, but came to my senses. Why pay $90 to fix something that the designer should have thought of?
I'm not even sure this review makes sense, but as you can see from Jessica Seinfeld, the majority of ruffles are hidden by any jacket or cardigan you would be wearing, rendering the collar pointless. Well, pointless if you were wanting a froth of ruffles spilling out of your jacket, like I did;)
