I rarely buy new bags as I've collected several vintage ones that have stood the test of time. I'm a sucker though for snakeskin and substantial trim, and I let out an audible gasp when I saw this Devi Kroell bag. After watching the Jil Sander Fall 2012 show I was dreaming about that pink coat. Ashley Olsen was first out of the gate to be photographed in it and she won't be the last judging by how fast the $3k coat sold on Net-A-Porter.
The coat wasn't in my budget, but I made a mental note to look for something more affordable. At an estate sale this summer I was poking around an attic devoid of any oxygen and not finding much. I opened up an old wardrobe and there hanging was this vintage pink coat for $5. Sold!
Finally got a chance to dive into Lonny Mag's October issue and got a little nostalgic when I saw Emily Procter's home featured in it. I got to see her (and the rest of the CSI Miami gang) every week at my old job in LA and they were one of the nicest tv casts I worked with.
I'm not sure what room this is in her house, but I love the moon painting and corresponding blue chair to the right.
We bought two vintage wingback chairs at an estate sale with the intent of reupholstering them with a patterned fabric. Unfortunately, every fabric that I had on my wish list will blow our budget. We are talking over $200 a yard, gah! We thought about covering them in an emerald green linen but now I'm inspired to make them a vivid blue.
Browsing the J.Crew November catalog and tabbing a few items that I want to give a second look once they pop up online. Missed out on that Burberry intarsia sweater? Don't fret, as there are some cute ones in this roll out. I'm in love with fashion illustration so the La Parisienne got a "closer look" post-it.
A black check shirt has been on my need list, but I keep turning the page back to the Neon Pink Gingham Boy shirt. I'm seeing it with a midnight blue sweater in my mind, but the Frenchie one is kinda adorable.
I'm just digging this entire outfit (very Jenna Lyons, no?). I wore the heck out of J.Crew's Jaspe sweatshirt last year, and the Loomknit could be this year's workhorse.

J.W. Anderson's Pre-Fall 2012 sweaters showed up numerous times during fashion week. They have an early 90's vibe thanks to their oversized print and shape. I just thrifted a vintage sweater with a similar feel that I'm hoping to break out this weekend.

I once owned a vintage leather motorcycle jacket that was pretty perfect in every way. It fit narrowly in the shoulders with a slightly cropped fit and slim sleeves that zipped at the ends. I imagined it belonged to some biker babe in the 70's and I wore that thing every chance I could.
I was moving out of my apartment in Los Angeles and grabbed the last bag of trash to take to the garbage bin on my way out. It was located in a parking garage that never felt safe (do they ever?) and I hurriedly lobbed the bag into the bin, got in my car, and drove off.
It wasn't until later that night that I remembered my jacket had been over my arm and in my haste I had tossed it into the garbage as well. Gah!
I still haven't found a replacement for that jacket but these latest images from fashion week have renewed my quest all over again.
