Is anyone else tuning in to Amy Sherman-Palladino's newest creation tonight?
I was sad to see Gilmore Girls go, and it was without a bang too. There has been a hole in my tv lineup, and I'm hoping this will work.
Early reviews are good, and can you go wrong with Parker Posey? If you haven't seen her in action, check out most of Christopher Guest's movies. She is a trip.
This is the premise from TVGUIDE.COM:
Indie-film queen Parker Posey plays Sarah, a successful children's book editor who wants to have a baby. When she learns she can't conceive, she hatches a plan to move her younger sister in with her and pay her to be a surrogate mom. The catch: Her estranged sister, Coco (Lauren Ambrose of Six Feet Under), is bohemian, unemployed and crashing on a friend's couch. On-screen, the two leads have believable sister chemistry, and the writing is sharp. In short, it works.
It also stars Dianne Wiest, who will forever be in my mind the mom from Lost Boys.
