I discovered photographer Wendy Bevan's work via Sally Jane Vintage. Her photographs have a vintage dream like quality to them.

I'm beyond inspired by this editorial, the images looks like movie stills. Can you imagine how beautiful that film would be?

Flashback: Terry Richardson & The Jean Pool

I'm not used to seeing Terry Richardson so subtle, so I thought these would be nice to share. Plus, they remind me of those last sunny days of summer.

Artist: Photographer Lillian Bassman

 

One can see how John Galliano was inspired by photographer Lillian Bassman. Both art director and fashion photographer for Bazaar between the 40's and 50's, her transcendent photography invigorated fashion. 

Unfortunately, disillusioned with the art world in the 70's, she destroyed the majority of her work. A bag of negatives was found 20 years later and her photography is enjoying a resurgence today.

I like the quiet sensuality of these photos by Wingate Paine. Most of his work was more erotic, but I like that he focused on details, like the vulnerability of an exposed throat.

I can't wait to see more of model Sasha Pivovarova's artwork. You can see some of her own features in the cat like eyes set in heart shaped faces.

Artist of the Week: Cedric Rivrain

I'm so in love with Cedric Rivrain's illustrations. His combination of fashion, models and beautiful colors has me swooning.

I want this for my office wall.

Last Night on Holiday

Some trips are like living a dream, and to leave will break the spell you are under. I think Alix of The Cherry Blossom Girl captured that feeling perfectly with this photograph of her last night in Japan.
