We had a long weekend visiting with family and I did a little shopping as we traveled. I spotted these hanging lamps—including the light kit–right when I was getting ready to check out of a thrift store. They looked vintage, but could be Ikea for all I knew, but for $.69 a piece I figured I could use them for outdoor parties if nothing else. After doing some google research I discovered they are called the Butterfly Pendant, and were designed by Lars Schioler in Denmark in the 1970's.
I found this pleated skirt at a really gross thrift store, but fell in love with the bright blue color and print. It is a vintage size 6, but someone did something wack to the waist and it is huge! I'm going to have my tailor take it in and redo the elastic.
I played with babies all weekend, and I think I had that theme on my brain when we stopped at a flea market on the way home. I picked up a vintage flash card that says "a funny baby" and a poster book from 1932 with the coolest perfect-for-framing prints. I'm hoping to use them for a project in the future with another blogger. More on that later;)
I bought this vintage Coach bag last week. It just might be the world's smallest satchel.
Okay, so I didn't thrift these Chanel items, but they are my favorite buys as of late. I bought the Graphite nail polish and Illusion D'Ombre Epatant eyeshadow from the Fall 2011 makeup collection. They both are a shimmering silver, and to my eyes, have just a flash of goldish-green to them.
