I knew better than to go browsing the Pre-Fall shoes at Saks.com. There is a lot of wedge ankle boot action going on in that section, and this wood heeled version by Chloe is calling my name. Saks, $995
Bon Appetit has a new editor-in-chief, Adam Rapoport, and he comes out swinging with Gwyneth Paltrow on the cover of his second issue. From what I'm reading online he is getting some flack for putting a celebrity on the cover instead of a plate of food.
I associate Bon Appetit with clean, easy images, and I think this spread with Gwyneth fits right in. I was waffling on buying her book until I saw L.A. in Bloom's review, which pushed my decision into the must buy side. I always enjoying seeing the human side of the subject, and the thought processes that go on behind the scenes.
Rapoport plans on putting more people on covers, so I guess we'll have to wait and see how well they merge them in. I remember when Lucky magazine went through a similar problem when they traded out models for actresses on their covers. It didn't bother me much, but I do think they could have been more selective with their choices.

I think everyone has been suffering from wedding fever, though mine has nothing to do with Kate and William. My sister is getting married in less than two weeks, and I can't wait to celebrate with her.
So what made me feel beautiful on my wedding day? Wearing the dress of my dreams and my something blue shoes. Oh, and just enough makeup that everyone thinks the glowing skin, long lashes, rosy cheeks and lips are all you.

Another contender for my sister's rehearsal dinner. Did I mention my baby sis is getting married? In two weeks! Not sure if this dress says party, but maybe if I steal the gold sandal idea along with a pile of vintage gold bangles? Need to wait and see this one in person. Anthropologie, $228
I remember being disappointed that I was going to just miss seeing Kate Moss's exhibit at Les Arts Decoratifs. Then it was delayed and was finally cancelled due to lack of funds. That exhibit is back on, and will now be showing at La Galerie de l'Instant in Paris. I would love to see this, as it is going to include photographs by Corinne Day. She took some of my favorite shots of Miss Moss.

The Kate Moss Portfolio and Other Stories This is a separate exhibit at Danziger Projects in NYC. It features Kate Moss as seen from the lens of photographers like Mario Testino and Bruce Weber.
I need something to wear to my sister's rehearsal dinner in a couple of weeks, and this little pleated number is high on my list. Has anyone seen it in person and can give a review? I normally would be drawn to the grey color but there is something about the Glam Pink. Madewell, $185
