Some more peeks into the latest issue of Lula magazine. I'm looking forward to seeing this editorial up close as it was styled and clothed by the Rodarte sisters. The accompanying copy, words by Rachel Antonoff, makes for a lovely read about white dresses.
Natalie Portman wearing a Lanvin for H&M dress. This isn't the first time I've seen her showing support for a designer collaboration, as I remember her wearing a Rodarte for Target dress to another appearance.
These shoes are so me, from the vintage shape to the snakeskin print, and how great are her Kelly green nails? I've been trying to find out who makes these ever since September(found out today they are Rochas), so I'm sure they are long gone from stores now. Has anyone seen them anywhere?
Today is the coldest day so far this year, so it is fitting that I'm dreaming about going somewhere warm. Resort lines are starting to pour into the stores, and one that I have my eye on is Miu Miu 2011. I'm a sucker for heart prints, so it is easy to love parts of this collection.
If everything goes right, I'll be able to look at the pieces up close in about 3 weeks! I love the apple green dress, and how adorable are the heart scarves?
Our seasons here seem to go straight from steam bath heat to freezing, buttoned up to your nose cold. That glorious stretch of crisp yet sunny fall air filled with dazzling colors of gold and red squeezes in the middle for only a short time. This means taking a chance on pairing leather with bare arms and legs.
I ran into the bookstore this weekend in hopes of finding something new to read and grabbed the Vogue Best Dressed Special Edition Issue.
I'm not surprised to see Blake Lively on the cover, as Anna Wintour seems to have a fascination with blondes. There was the Gwyneth Paltrow decade, mixed in with some Carolyn Bessette, various models, and then that odd Renee Zellweger infatuation.
The magazine starts out with great articles about Michaela Bercu, Gypsy Rose Lee, and Natalia Vodianova. I really like Natalia's personal style, and enjoyed the interview as it went into depth about her choices for events and the thought that went into them.
Then there are some things that are kind of sloppy. For instance, there are grainy pictures of Kate Moss and Sarah Jessica Parker that look like they were blown up from smaller images. Why wouldn't you just use a different picture? It's not as if Kate Moss doesn't have a thousand other high resolution images floating around.
I could have done without some of the odd features as well. There is a round up of the celebs stuck under umbrellas in bad weather, a round up of celebs talking on their cell phones, and one of celebs wearing versions of high hair, or what I call a beehive. I would have preferred full length shots of them in great outfits without any other distractions, but maybe I'm the odd one.
The magazine costs $10.99.
