I normally won't allow myself sunglasses that cost more than $10 because simply, I lose them. The higher the cost the more apt I am to leave them on top of my car, the bench in the dressing room and any other place that isn't attached to my body. Though I have forgotten that I pushed them on top of my head before as well. Doh!
