I love this shot from The Sartorialist's first editorial, featured in the October issue of UK Elle. It looks like one of the many stylish girls of NYC sitting on their front stoop waiting for a cab.

I've seen Anna Dove's wallpaper pop up in several European home magazines in the last several years, but the feature that caught my eye was in the April 07 issue of UK Vogue. The ethereal wallpaper mixed with the rough brick wall and worn down wood flooring is my ideal feminine/masculine mix.
I was happy to see her once again in Domino, and that she now has textiles and accessories. The rose designs remind me of those soft focus 70's greeting cards, which I've always loved. It is going to be tough choosing, my three favorite designs come in fabric as well-Rose Garden at Night, Spring Rose, and Summer Rose.
That is decorator Barrie Benson on the cover that has all the warm shades of Fall. She also did Laura Vincent Poole's house, featured in Domino February issue. I poured over those images, and what delight to have Barrie feature more of her favorite shots of the Poole home at Domino online.

I haven't seen these in store yet, but Wary Meyers has designed some crests for Urban Outfitters. The plates have a seasonal tone, which I love.

"You recently designed a series of plates for Urban Outfitters. How did you select subject matter?
Meyers: Basically, we could do anything we wanted. We had a conversation about the old Wella Girl advertisements, fairy tales by Arthur Rackham, [designer] Milton Glaser, and [the novel] The Golden Compass. There were no parameters—just whatever we were thinking at the time."

I've long had the Boreal Forest plates on my to buy list from Anthropologie. Then I saw this lovely headboard with the same pattern in their newest catalog. The Lorraine headboard in the Sylvan pattern, it is already backordered through October! Doesn't it have a Tord Boontje feel to it? Now if we could get Anthropologie to produce this pattern in a sheet or duvet set, my mind would be made up.
Our closest flea market is over an hour away, so I don't get to go as frequently as I would like. It has been a bit disappointing this year, as it seems the Sunday I've been able to go falls on a holiday, and the vendors have been sparse.
I did manage to purchase some dresses for myself from the 30's, a decade I have always loved. It is going to be especially hot in the design this Fall.
I loved this vintage wrought iron table set, I've never seen a daisy design before. I thought it was priced at bit steep at $375 though.
The glass on the lamps came out yellow on my camera phone, but it was actually more green. I loved these, but the boy did not. I'm also on a bit of a lamp ban.
Ah, this was my favorite item I think.
